By using the means of 3D virtual word, the project aims to support a more enriched learning and practice environment by overstepping the space restrictions in the interactive process of interpreting training.
Students of İzmir University of Economics and Dokuz Eylul University will have the opportunity to impact the courses taken within the laboratory and class environment in the virtual campus in Second life, the most popular and biggest 3D virtual World, by studying the practices of conference interpreting. It is expected that the studies within the scope of 2-year-project will add great variety and color to translation and interpreting training, enabling the students to be better equipped when they begin their professional lives.
