Haydar Ergülen's poems in English
Poems of Haydar Ergülen, a prominent name in contemporary Turkish poetry, were collected in the book “Pomegranate Garden” in English. Edited by translation scholars Saliha Paker, Mel Kenne and Caroline Stockford.
The collection includes poems translated by 13 different translators, including Nilgün Dungan, a lecturer at Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of English Translation and Interpreting at Izmir University of Economics. Pomegranate Garden was published by Parthian Publishing House in the UK.
In 2006, Haydar Ergülen was a guest speaker at Cunda International Workshop for Translators of Turkish Literature (CIWTTL), which initiated this project; the book includes English translations of 100 poems by Ergülen into English. The book aims to introduce the poetry of Ergülen worldwide.
