TÜBİTAK Support for İzmir University of Economics Sociology Students

Students from Izmir University of Economics have achieved significant success within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Research Project Support Programme. Two independent research projects focusing on contemporary sociological issues, conducted under the supervision of Research Assistant Dr. Borabay Erbay, have been awarded funding by TÜBİTAK.

Within the scope of the supported projects, the study titled "Artificial Intelligence and Human Identity: The Transformation of Empathy and Identity Construction Among University Students (The Case of Izmir)" to be conducted by Zeynep Sıla Yasıter and Duru Deniz Kahya, and the project titled "The Impact of Digital Friendships and Real Relationships on the Socialization Process: A Qualitative Research on University Students" prepared by Öykü Gürlük will receive funding.

Dr. Borabay Erbay, and our undergraduate students for this outstanding achievement, which highlights and encourages the early involvement of undergraduate students in scientific research.
