IUE students, who won the awards in the English category by achieving great success in the competition where ambitious names from all over Turkey participated, proved once again how good an education they received. All students who ranked in the competition will receive their awards at a ceremony to be held in the coming days. Prof. Dr. Nihal Yetkin Karakoç, Head of IUE Department of English Translation and Interpreting, stated that they had been proud of winning the first prize in the Young Translators Competition before, but this year they reached the top of the success chart with the award of 3 students who participated in the competition and said, "This success has been achieved thanks to all the professors in the department who have been teaching them and preparing them in the best way for this competition, as well as Asst. Prof. Dr. Ilgın Aktener and Research Assistant Aslı Melike Soylu. Aslı Melike Soylu, who is also a graduate of our department, was also the winner of the competition in 2022. We have a well-equipped, strong staff in our department who get along very well with each other. One of the most important factors that lead us to success is this exemplary unity and team spirit. Our students have shown us how well they are trained at our University and that we will see them in very good places in the future. I am proud of them and congratulate them wholeheartedly.”
